Talent Show

At the end of the second semester AIS had a talent show! There were many talented students from our entire school, but some of our very own 4th grade students were real Risk takers, and performed in front of everyone! You can find their videos below!

Sona performed a beautiful Piano Solo. She was very brave, and practiced hard. You can see her performance in the two videos below.

Jignesh sang a song from his home country of India. He was very nervous when he first agreed to do it, but he practiced hard and we were all impressed.

Finally, several of our friends, Saket, Fuka, Ririka, bravely rode unicycles across the gym, without crashing into anyone!

Congratulations to all our friends and their bravery in performing in front of everyone! Next year, maybe we can all be even bigger risk takers!

Sharing the Planet

Central Idea:

Sharing What We Have Improves Quality of Life

Lines of Inquiry:

Perspective: What we have and what we need

Connection: global imbalances and quality of life are connected

Responsibility: global opportunities and imbalances

Tuning in and Finding Out

"What is quality of life?"
"What are Resources?"
"What are need and wants?"

Wonder Presentations

Types of Resources Wall

Sorting Out and Going Further

"What are needs and wants?"
"What does imbalances mean?"
"What is perspective?"
"What is LGBT?"

Making Conclusions

"Where you live changes your QoL."
"If you have don't have lots of resources, you can't have good quality of life."
"We have privilege because we live in Japan. Nya has less privilege because she lives in a poor place."
"People have different needs."
"Charities can help fix different QoL."
