We are starting our new Unit of Inquiry: Where We Are in Place and Time. Since Ms. Hannah came in and changed our classroom, we started by focusing on our place - the class! Together, we tried to come up with the perfect class for us.
Also, speaking of places, we decided out country for International Children's Festival, coming on September 20th! First, as a class we decided to choose between Argentina, Turkey and Thailand. Then, the kinder kids came and visited, and together we chose Argentina!
Outside of school we started a new homework activity. Every month we are going to try and read a certain number of minutes a day on our own, and record our progress! So starting this week we will be bringing home our reading logs, and trying to read more! Hopefully, by the end, we will all love reading! Reading logs look like this...
That's all for this week! This weekend we had no official homework - only to read and play! We did each take home a form to get a library card...but that's for next week's adventure! See you then!
